ECPAT (End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes) is a non-governmental organisation and a global network of civil society organisations whose stated purpose is ending the commercial sexual exploitation of children. It was founded as End Child Prostitution in Asian Tourism (ECPAT) in the early 1990s to raise awareness and campaign against child sexual tourism. ECPAT started its work in Bangkok, Thailand and soon had a network of offices in over 20 countries; the acronym was later re-designated.
