This IBLD, the BoyWiki Council is pleased to roll out the annual BoyWiki Report, which is broken up amongst the various Wikis below. From everyone at the BoyWiki Council, Happy IBLD!

===Introduction===

Since the English BoyWiki's reopening, the Recent Changes pages has been very active, listing new entries and updates. It documents a wide-ranging effort of sorting out, categorizing, tagging entries, updating, adapting and new creating templates.

===New entries===

<a name="en-new| Among the new entries, the one on [[Azov_Films_Prosecutions| Azov Films Prosecutions]] has garnered the highest number of hits on each of the three Wikis. Originating from the German BoyWiki, it was first translated into French, then gained momentum when Will Robinson started coordinating his efforts both on BoyChat and BoyWiki. His updates had the remarkable effect both of showing similarities between the various cases that US LEOs are still making every effort to keep separated, and also raised interest among some of the defense lawyers. As a result, some people will be better defended, and better informed, because of it. Some have called this effort, along with the frequent updates on BC and efforts off-board by Will Robinson and others to engage and inform these defendants and their council of what is going on, BoyChat's and BoyWiki's "finest hour" and we on the Council applaud Will, Vallhund and everyone else involved for their efforts.

To emphasize the collaborative spirit of the Wiki we routinely don't mention authors (whose nickname is listed in the history page anyway), but in this case we felt it was appropriate.

We have a not so short fledgling on [[Ancient_Greece| Ancient Greece]], with chapters such as Grooming and Courtship, Social Aspects and Sexual Practices. It is not so short a fledgling on a very expandable topic.

The entry on [[IBLD_Art_by_Scruffy_Lad| IBLD Art by Scruffy Lad]], has a display of these [[International_Boylove_Day| IBLD]] themed postcards along with a history and an explanation of the intent of their creator.

Thanks to our [[South_Park| South Park]] entry we know how and when young Cartman joined [[NAMBLA| NAMBLA]]. Also several definitions have been added to [[Category:Dictionary| Category : Dictionary]], through which we can learn more about [[Satin_boylover| Satin Boylovers]], [[High_Boylover_Priesthood| the High Boylover Priesthood]], [[Pansexual| Pansexuals]] and [[Legal_entrapment| Legal Entrapment]].

There is a new entry on Michael Cuesta's already cult movie [[L.I.E.| L.I.E.]] containing a plot summary which reminds the circumstances of Howie and Big John's first night. It adds up to a relatively small and promising [[Category:Film| Category : Film]]

An entry on child actor [[Nolan_Gould| Nolan Gould]] bears promising tags such as '1998 Births', 'American Child Actors', 'Television actors', etc.

The [[YourIBLD| YourIBLD]] page talks about the history and concept of the now-Defunct YourIBLD site created by Holden and Connor, complete with a few updated screen captures. [[Category:Online_history| The online History Category]], to which this entry adds up, had already a number of interesting entries such as BLSafetyNet, BoyLove Survey and Research Institute, Christian Boylove Forum, CrossRoads and FreeSpirits.

===Updated entries===

The following pages were updated since the reopening:

[[International_Boylove_Day| International BoyLove Day]], [[Internet_Explorer| Internet Explorer]], [[Onion_router| Onion Router]], [[Anonymity10| Anonymity]]
[[Tor| Tor]], [[Browser_security| Browser Security]], [[IP_address| IP Address]], [[Internet_security_tutorial| Internet Security Tutorial]], [[Proxy| Proxy]], [[BoyLover.net| BoyLover.net]], [[Instant_messaging| Instant Messaging]], [[NAMBLA_Bulletin| NAMBLA Bulletin]]

[[Curator| Curator]], [[Meteos| Meteos]] (a video game, and yes, we have a [[Category:Video_games| Category : Video Games]]), and the grim story of [[Samuel_Weaver| Samuel Weaver]].

===Fledglings===

During this span of time, several more fledgling and to-be-continued entries were created. They deal with [[Civilization_5| Civilization 5]],
[[Dr._Milton_Diamond| Dr. Milton Diamond]], [[State_rape| State Rape]], [[SafeHaven| SafeHaven]], [[Family_Guy| Family Guy]], and an [[Images_tutorial| Images Tutorial]].

===The media repository===

[https://media.BoyWiki.org| Media.BoyWiki], our common, interWiki media repository, has been fitted with an Image CaseBook, i.e. trying to answer the question "Which images can I upload on media.BoyWiki?" and many new images have been uploaded (by admins and/or upon scribe's requests) that grace articles on either the German, French or English Wikis.

==The german BoyWiki report 2012==

=== Introduction===
Compared to the English and French BoyWiki, the German department has been less active in 2012. Yet although there are fewer German pages, the number of page views is relatively high. Thus, there are quite a number of readers to be reached by de.BoyWiki.org, a fact that should be a great motivation for the German community to engage in new efforts in 2013.

Looking back at 2012, the activity of some regular writers went down in the German BoyWiki. The pages with highest access rates are the documentation of the [https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Azov_Films Azov Films], the definition of [https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Boylove Boylove] and the page on [https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Masturbation Masturbation]. Also among the highly accessed pages are articles on safety and security on the net ([https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Datensicherheit_und_Anonymität Datensicherheit und Anonymität]) and the book collection ([https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Bibliothek Bibliothek]). Especially regarding the boylove definition and the anonymity page, it is reasonable to assume that range of influence of de.BoyWiki.org goes far beyond BL community.

===New entries===

Some new pages have been added in 2012 as well. Thanks go to Maluquinho for presenting the German web radio [https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Boylove_Tunes Boylove Tunes]. Sascha, Cyber008 and Torpedobl nicely described new discussion fora within the TOR network ([https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Safe_Port_Forum Safe Port Forum], [https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/PAIS PAIS]). At [https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Psychopathia_sexualis_(Krafft-Ebing,_1886) Psychopathia sexualis (Krafft-Ebing, 1886)], Peter started a page on the definitive early work on pedophilia. Further assistance is very much welcome!

===Updated entries===

Of course there have also been extensions on existing pages in 2012. Soby was the main contributor keeping the [https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Azov_Films Azov Films] page up to date. In the meantime, Cyber008 has earned merits by adding the original [https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Boylove-Manifest Boylove-Manifest] text from 1997 to the German Wiki. Salix and Ronny21 extended the contribution on the legal texts concerning BL ([https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/§_176_StGB_(Deutschland) § 176 StGB (Deutschland)]). Furthermore, Peter has invested quite some time to inform the public on [https://de.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Tom O'Carroll Tom O'Carroll], who became widely known as a journalist and author of "Paedophilia: The Radical Case" and "Michael Jackson’s Dangerous Liaisons". By the way, this is one of several articles where de.BoyWiki is factually ahead of the German Wikipedia -- you don't find a word on O'Carroll there.

==The french BoyWiki report 2012==

===New articles in French===

The number of articles has considerably augmented in the year 2012.

====The Boy Calendar====

Thanks to some witty coding, the daily pages of the [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Calendrier_gar%E7onnier Boy Calendar], which lists events of the history of pederasty, enables us to create, write and automatically update the 12 monthly pages as well as a [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/%C9ph%E9m%E9rides_gar%E7onni%E8res consolidated yearly version] of the same (easier for printing purposes).

====Arts related entries====

For the first time, a country, i.e. [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Italie Italy], became the topic of an article. For now it is mostly a historical, art historical and cultural table. A few articles bearing on Italy have begun to surface, with artists such as [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Alessandro_Allori Alessandro Allori], or pictoral works such as [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Amor_vincit_omnia_(Caravaggio) Caravaggio's charming Amore Vincitore] and its 'pedophobic 'counterpart by [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Amore_sacro_e_Amore_profano_(Giovanni_Baglione) Giovanni Baglione: Sacred Love and Profane Love].

Other art related entries were posted and added to, for instance a gallery on the French painter and engraver [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Gaston_Goor_(galerie) Gaston Goor] with a sub gallery on hitherto unpublished illustrations for [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Gaston_Goor_(L%E2%80%99oracle) Roger Peyrefitte's novel The Oracle] (L'oracle). There are also thematic galleries, e.g. one on [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Saute-mouton_(galerie) leapfrog] (a humble but promising start on that topic). Among other fledgling articles worth the attention is the one on sculptor [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Wim_van_der_Kant Wim van der Kant].

Theoretically, each boy-themed work of art would deserve to have its own entry. It is already the case for Louis-Ernest Barrias' [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Le_serment_de_Spartacus_(Louis-Ernest_Barrias) The Oath of Spartacus], Zacharie Astruc's [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Le_marchand_de_masques_(Zacharie_Astruc) Little Mask Seller], Denys Puech's [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/La_sirène_(Denys_Puech) Mermaid], Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux's [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Buste_du_prince_impérial_(Jean-Baptiste_Carpeaux) Portrait Bust of the Imperial Prince], Thabard's [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Charmeur_de_serpent_(Thabard) Snake Charmer], and even an article on Simeon Roksandic '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/De%C4%8Dak_sa_razbijenim_kr%C4%8Dagom_(Simeon_Roksandi%C4%87) Boy with the Broken Jug]' a statue commemorating the tragic death of the young apprentice [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Sava_Petkovi%C4%87 Sava Petkovic], a [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Jeune_héros young hero] of the Serbian independence.

Should the article on the [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Fascinum Fascinum] (a phallic amulet worn by most boys in antiquity and on) be tagged as Art or as a Society topic? Should the [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Phallus Phallus] entry be tagged as Art or as Anatomy? The article on the French middle school slang word 'lapin' ([https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Lapin Rabbit]) is not ubiquitous: it's definitely not about zoology!

====Literature, essays and full texts====

In 2012, BoyWiki kept fulfilling its mission as a repository of texts on boylove. Many of these texts are out of print or otherwise unavailable be it on the web or in libraries.

Specifically we have samples of Lucian of Samosate's [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Dialogue_des_Dieux_(Lucien_de_Samosate)_(extraits) Dialogues of the Gods], a long article by Jean-Claude Boyer, published in the Arcadie magazine and titled '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Réflexions_sur_la_pédophilie_(Yebor) Réflexions sur la pédophilie]', as well as a remarkable study on [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/François_Augiéras François Augiéras]' work by [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Dominique_Fernandez Dominique Fernandez]: '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Une_aristocratie_morale_(Dominique_Fernandez) Une aristocratie morale]' (text published on BoyWiki with the author's kind permission).

Also noteworthy is the fledgling article on the autobiographic tale The Old Man and the Boy ('[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Le_vieillard_et_l’enfant_(François_Augiéras) Le vieillard et l'enfant]'), which Augiéras published under the pseudonym Abdallah Chaamba. And another, more consequent study on a recently published novel, Pierre Fuzel's '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Mon_cœur,_de_ton_visage,_n’a_pu_oublier_la_douceur_(Pierre_Fuzel) Mon coeur, de ton visage, n'a pu oublier la douceur]' (My Heart couldn't forget your face's sweetness).

Two more full texts were published this year on BoyWiki ; in both cases they are important and it is difficult to lay a hand on a copy. They are '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/La_pédophilie_en_question_(Joseph_Doucé) La pédophilie en question]', a dense collection of essays and studies published in 1988 under the direction of pastor Joseph Doucé and republished here on 39 separate pages ; and '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Hervé_(Maurice_Balland) Hervé]', an autobiographic novel by father [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Maurice_Balland Maurice Balland], in 17 chapters.

====Catholic popes and saints====

(About clergymen, let's mention pope [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Benoît_IX Benedictus IX], who came on to St Peter's throne at age 10, or 12, or maybe later: he ended up being accused, a.o. of taking part in homosexual and even zoophilic orgiastic parties! Let's throw a veil on that Benedictus, whose brother never lead a boy choir ; and let's bend our attention on [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Pancrace_de_Rome saint Pancrace of Rome], protector of children, of domestic animals and of Corsican bandits...)

====Periodics====

Alongside books, [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Presse_écrite periodics] haven't been forgotten. That page lists about one hundred titles bearing one way or the other on pederasty or pedophilia. Most articles on these periodicals remain to be written, even though there are already entries on '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Breaking_Boy_News Breaking Boy News]' or '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Europe_(revue) Europe]', as well as on the [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Obapaïdo Obapaïdo] blog.

====Other literary themes====

A mere list as the above-mentioned one, can serve both as an index for further research and as a source for 'red links' that are a citation to work on these topics. E.g. the entry on [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Roman_policier Crime Fiction], in which some thirty novels are listed, meaning there is a huge lot of room for new additions.

More mainstream literature wasn't forgotten, e.g. with high school boy [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Charles_Baudelaire Charles Baudelaire], who would have had a form of particular friendship with [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Claude-Maurice_Robert Claude-Maurice Robert]. The latter was a poet in touch with the crème de la crème of the Franco-Algerian pederastic intelligentsia. It is a very comprehensive fledgling, on which there is still work to do.

====Nobel laureates====

Worthwhile is the entry on [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Prix_Nobel Nobel Peace Prize laureates], which features an interesting explanation on the over-representation of writers among them.

====Cinema====

To this day, BoyWiki's Cinema wing remains a weak point. It is surprising that this much loved art hasn't attracted more entries and more scribes. There's potentially over a thousand entries on full-length films, short fictions, series... and on directors and young actors. Cinephiles and cinepedophiles alike are welcome to advance this inspiring cause.

In 2012, A number of pages were added to the already existing [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Filmographie_garçonnière boy filmography], to which a new fledgling section was appended starting with the page on [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Filmographie_garçonnière_–_Acteur_de_13_ans 13yo boy actors]. All other ages are in the books from babies to adults (known to have played the role of a boy).

The article on William Deenen's '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Claudius,_boy_of_ancient_Rome_(William_Deneen) Claudius, Boy of Ancient Rome]' demonstrates that it possible to say a lot and to show entertaining images about a mere second rate short film. (freely and legally downloadable). Another very particular film is '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Le_collier_perdu_de_la_colombe_(Nacer_Khemir) Le collier perdu de la colombe]' (The Dove's Lost Necklace) by Nacer Khemir, based upon Ibn Hazm's famous book mentioned hereunder.

Other cinema entries created in 2012 include:
o '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/The_cider_house_rules_(Lasse_Hallström) The Cider House Rules]' by Lasse Hallström
o [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/L.I.E._–_Long_Island_Expressway_(Michael_Cuesta) L.I.E. – Long Island Expressway] by Michael Cuesta (fledgling)
o [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Temporada_de_patos_(Fernando_Eimbcke) Temporada Patos] by Fernando Eimbcke

o [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Wild_tigers_I_have_known_(Cam_Archer) Wild Tigers I Have Known] by Cam Archer

The article on [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Sans_famille Sans Famille] (Nobody's Boy) is but a disambiguation page, but already gives out precious indications. Do you know how many films are based on Hector Malot's novel?

====Boylove====

More focused on the boylove theme are articles on sexual and [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Orientation_affective_et_sexuelle affective orientation], on [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Pédopornographie pedopornography] and [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Sexisme_judiciaire sexism in courts]. Two very dissimilar characters add up to the mix: The courageous Norwegian lawyer [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Tor_Erling_Staff Tor Erling Staff], who proclaims having had affairs with men since he was eleven or twelve years old and took much pleasure in it ; and the French doctor (with Spanish roots) [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Mathieu_Joseph_Bonaventure_Orfila Mathieu Joseph Bonaventure Orfila] (1787-1853), who got caught in an "incredible pederastic action" after having written on pederasty as an "abuse," the "result of a sick imagination and a scandalous debauchery" in one of his treatise on toxicology applied to forensic medicine, one of the scientific fields he pioneered.

====Arabic-Muslim civilization====

BoyWiki's interests are universal, both in space and time, hence the recent articles on the [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Civilisation_arabo-musulmane arabic-muslim civilization]. May they have an even discreet role, so that the Arab Spring doesn't turn into an Islamic Winter in some countries! Noteworthy here are e.g. [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Ahmad_at-Tîfâchîy Ahmad at-Tîfâchîy] and his famous erotic treaty '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Les_délices_des_cœurs_par_les_perceptions_des_cinq_sens_(Ahmad_at-Tîfâchîy) The Delight of Hearts: A Promenade of the Hearts, or What You Will Not Find In Any Book]', [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Al-Fath_ben_Khâqân Al-Fath ben Khâqân] and '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Le_collier_d’or_(Al-Fath_ben_Khâqân) Necklace of Rubies]', [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Ibn_Dâwûd Ibn Dâwûd] and '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Le_livre_de_la_fleur_(Ibn_Dâwûd) The Book of the Flower]', and of course the andaluzian [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Ibn_Hazm Ibn Hazm] et his '[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Le_collier_de_la_colombe_(Ibn_Hazm) The Dove's Necklace]'.

[https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Muhammad Muhammad], the prophet of Islam, was worth mentioning due to some of his childhood's interesting circumstances and episodes, and also because of his behaviour towards boys. Let's also mention the controversy that has been gaining speed on his marriage with Aisha, who is said to have been nine at the time the marriage was consummated.

On a more trivial note, BoyWiki has an entry on Morroccan boy singer [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Abd_El_Fettah_Karim Abd El Fettah Karim], which is more comprehensive than the one on Justin Bieber!

====Music====

As far as Western style easy listening is concerned, there is e.g. an entry on the pop rock boy band [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Bandits_(groupe) Bandits].

In short on BoyWiki caters for all tastes, all ages and in almost every language!

===Old articles which were augmented and/or edited===

Some articles, e.g. [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Orphelin Orphelin] (orphan), have been significantly augmented or otherwise edited in 2012. Noteworthy too is the important addition that is a new 'scientific' translation of [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Le_Coran_–_Sourate_4_(extraits) sura 4] of the Koran, which takes away any condemnation of homosexuality.

Also, we kept on a dedicated page the extant series of questions and comprehensive answers that made up the [https://fr.BoyWiki.org/wiki/Les_Huit_Nuits_de_BoyWiki_2011 Huit*Nuits*de*BoyWiki game] on the French board La Garçonnière at the end of 2011 and in the first weeks of 2012.

===Statistics===

The French BoyWiki started up in November 2§008. Here are a few numbers:

o In the last four years, an average of 22 articles were created monthly.

o On average, There were 344 daily hits (on articles and other kind of pages)

o The main page had an average of about 26 hits a day.

====Number of accounts with editing rights====

There are about thirty active scribe accounts on the French version of BoyWiki, being, in alphabetical order: Aetos, Agnorum, André Ferron, Astolphe, Bjertum, Bron, Caprineus, Ccourouve, Clipeus Virtutis, Cosaster, Db, Dilettante60, Dimitri, Filboy, Gaëtan, Grandville, Hypnos, Jasp, Lahuri, Lascar, Loustic, Malik, Marc, Philadelphe, Phénix, Pinocchio, Setarcos, Skanda, Taka and Théo.

==Other versions==

Other, new language versions of BoyWiki are highly desired. All it takes is the constitution of a small initial team of two or three trusted admins.

A Spanish BoyWiki would be as important as the English one, potentially reaching to 20 countries and their over 400 million inhabitants.

We would like to see an opportunity for a dutch BoyWiki as well. It would fill in a gap left after the vicious public attacks on freedom of speech that the Vereniging Martijn fell prey to.

==2012 Media.BoyWiki report==

Media-BoyWiki is the common media repository serving all three extant language Wikis. 123 files were uploaded in 2012 to this day.

Noteworthy here is the special effort made to name the files in a clear, significant way, ready-made for BoyWiki scribes as well as for those who want to download them. This a far from the mess taking over most Wikis, Wikipedia included.

==Signup and collaboration==

In conclusion, we want to thank all those who are active scribes, those who were and those who will be! Even if your latest edits dates back to a while ago, the next is welcome anytime soon - because BoyWiki belongs to all of us.

As to those who haven't signed up yet, never hesitate: It is as easy as doing so on your favourite board, and most Scribe-level account activations take but a few days (usually two or three).

Best wishes,

'''Roger Peyrefitte''' (1907–2000) was a French diplomat, writer and [[boylover]].

== Life and works ==

Born in August [[1907]] in Castres, [[France]] to a wealthy family, Peyrefitte went to Jesuit and Lazarist boarding schools and then studied language and literature in Toulouse. After graduating first of his year from Ecole des Sciences Politiques in 1930, he worked as an embassy secretary in [[Athens]] between 1933 and 1938. In 1943 he became assistant to Ferdinand de Briton, the representative of the government to the German occupying authorities. He was removed from office in February 1945 because of his collaboration activities. The discharge was revoked in 1960 and his diplomatic status was restored in 1962.

Peyrefitte is best known for his controversial novels and literary biographies. One recurring theme in his novels is [[pederasty]]. Most of his works have a pederastic undertone, and in some he freely explores that side of his own personality. Even more than [[André Gide]] or [[Henry de Montherlant]] (with whom he was friends), he used his literary career as a tool for his defence of [[pederasty]].

The most known and probably best of these novels is the semi-autobiographical ''Les Amitiés particulières'' (1944, translated as ''Special friendships'') which won him the Renaudot prize in 1945. The novel, based on his experiences, deals with a homoerotic relationship between two boys at a Roman Catholic [[Boarding schools|boarding school]] and how it is destroyed by a priest's feelings for the younger boy. However, most of the intertextuality, symbols, names of secondary characters, and also the adult characters, constantly contrast with the 'young homosexual' main theme, as they all relate to an ancient, modern and contemporary pederastic culture.

In 1964, the novel was made into a movie by director Jean Delannoy. On the set of the film, Peyrefitte met the 14-year-old Alain-Philippe Malagnac (later Alain-Philippe Malagnac d'Argens de Villele) who had been cast as a choir boy and was a big fan of the book. Not only did Peyrefitte sign Alain-Philippe's copy of the book but the two also fell in love, pursuing a stormy relationship that Peyreffite chronicled in some of his later novels such as ''Notre Amour'' (1967) and ''L'Enfant de cœur'' (1978). Peyrefitte remained friends with Malagnac and he would later sell his precious collection of rare books and erotic art to finance Malagnac's business ventures.

Peyrefitte also wrote about Baron [[Jacques d'Adelsward-Fersen]]'s exile in [[Capri]] (''L'Exilé de Capri'', 1959) and translated Greek pederastic love poetry (''La Muse garçonnière'', 1973). Other works put him at odds with the Roman [[Catholic Church]] (''Les Clés de saint Pierre'', 1955) while others resulted in libel charges against him (''Les Juifs'', 1965, ''Les Américains'', 1968)

He died in [[November 5]], [[2000]] at 93 after receiving the last rites from the [[Catholic Church]] he had attacked so strongly.

'''Hajo Ortil''' (Hans Joachim Oertel, 1905–1983), was a German teacher, [[photography|photographer]] and [[boylover]].

Ortil studied English and Physical Education in Göttingen. In 1932 he completed his doctorate in English with a thesis about ''George Berkeley und die englische Literatur''.

Ortil did not begin his teaching career smoothly. After Hitler's raise to power, he could not enter the German civil service and in fact was held in a concentration camp for two years but released following [[Germany|Germany's]] victory against [[France]] (1940).

After the war, Ortil finally started teaching. Eschewing offers of a political or administrative career, he spent his entire working life as a teacher of English and physical education in a ''Gymnasium'' (upper secondary school) in Bremen.

== The Hanseatic Pirates ==

It was in Bremen where he founded in 1949 the ''Hansische Piraten Seefahrende Kanujugend Bemen e.V.'' (Hanseatic Pirates), a [[naturism|naturist]] group of boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18.

Based on Bremen, Ortil accompanied the group when they put their canoes to sea for long adventurous voyages visiting solitary places from the arctic territories of [[Finland]] to [[Modern Greece|Greece]] and shed their clothes whenever possible. Ortil encouraged both boys and girls to be open with their sexual needs. It was not uncommon for boys to masturbate in groups and play with each other during the group's canoe trips. It was not uncommon for "Big Old Joe" (as the boys called him) to participate in the boy's games either (Ortil never failed to show his special preference for boys), all with the tacit approval of their children's parents, who knew about the group's philosophy.

It is interesting to note that despite the reactionary politics in moral matters of the federal German government, the influence of the [[German Youth Movement]] and the memory of war upheaval resulted in a frankness and liberality in this regard that astonishes in retrospect.

== Photography ==

According to Ortil's introduction in ''Hundert nackte Wilde'', the boys urged him to photograph them, and thus he began taking pictures of the group's naked members regularly. These naked photographs of young boys and girls were regularly used to illustrate various issues of the [[naturist]] magazine ''Helios''. The most famous of these was ''Hundert nackte Wilde'' (1957) (Hundred naked savages) featuring only naked boys, which caused a controversy in the neighboring [[Netherlands]].

His photographs later appeared in ''Sun & Health'' magazine in the UK, as well as several other books, including ''[[The Boy: A Photographic Essay]]'' (1964) (presented as evidence in the 1993 [[Michael Jackson]] trial).

Hajo Ortil donated his sexological library and photographic archive to the [[Brongersma Foundation]] in the [[Netherlands]]. Nevertheless, the photographic archive was seized from the Foundation and destroyed by the Dutch police in 1999.[http://www.guidemag.com/content/index.cfm?ID=135]

[[Image:BLogo.svg|thumb|right|BLogo]]
The '''BLogo''' is a graphic symbol for [[boylove]] that is widely used across the [[online boylove community]]. It consists of two blue intertwined triangles, one outer that symbolizes the [[man]], and one inner that symbolizes the [[boy]] in a boylove relationship. Due to its shape, it is occasionally described as a "spirangle".

== Symbology ==

The triangle theme originated with the inverted pink triangle that known homosexuals were forced to wear in Nazi concentration camps during Germany's Third Reich period. Gay communities have adopted the upside down pink triangle as a symbol of gay pride. The BLogo designers took that symbology a step further, inverting the triangle and changing the color to blue. The BLogo is designed to be an easily recognizable and reproducible logo for boylovers, while also being anonymous when the situation demands it. A large consideration in the design process was to make a symbol that could be easily drawn in the sand with a finger.

== History ==

The BLogo was designed in February 1997 by [[Kalos]] in response to a online design contest sponsored by [[Tygyr]], a teenage boylover whose [[Tygyrnet]] website was very popular at the time. Various triangle designs had been proposed but none became popular with the BL communities of the day. When Kalos submitted his design, it struck an instant chord and was adapted very quickly by [[Free Spirits]] and by many other on-line boylover organizations.

There is an interesting personal story behind the design: Kalos did not actually do the artwork for the BLogo. He facilitated the design with his life partner of more than 20 years. Kalos and his partner the artist have been together since Kalos' partner was just 14 years old.

The '''''NAMBLA Bulletin''''' is a magazine published by [[NAMBLA]] continuously since 1980. Along with [[OK magazine]] in the [[Netherlands]] it is the oldest magazine for boylovers still in print.

''NAMBLA Bulletin'' (subtitled "Voice of the North American Man / Boy Love Association"), has begun, much like most magazines for boylovers, as an eight-to-twelve-page newsletter printed in black and white and developed into a full color glossy magazine of about 20 pages.

The magazine is edited by the "Bulletin collective" which operates autonomously, by consensus, with only general policy determined by [[NAMBLA|NAMBLA's]] Steering Committee. It publishes ten issues per year and its ISSN number is 9100-2624.

Each issue contains news, [[Literature|fiction]], feature articles, [[Photography|pictures]], reviews of films, recordings and books, and a regular column of letters from boys and boy-lovers.

Young Corydon, th’unhappy Shepherd Swain
The fair Alexis lov’d, but lov’d in vain:
And underneath the Beechen Shade, alone,
Thus to the Woods and Mountains made his moan.
Is this, unkind Alexis, my reward,
And must I die unpitied, and unheard?
Now the green Lizard in the Grove is laid,
The Sheep enjoy the coolness of the Shade;
And Thestilis wild Thime and Garlike beats
For Harvest Hinds, o’erspent with Toyle and Heats:
While in the scorching Sun I trace in vain
Thy flying footsteps o’re the burning Plain.
The creaking Locusts with my Voice conspire,
They fry’d with Heat, and I with fierce Desire.
How much more easie was it to sustain
Proud Amarillis, and her haughty Reign,
The Scorns of Young Menalcus, once my care
Tho’ he were black, and thou art Heav’nly fair.
Trust not too much to that enchanting Face;
Beauty’s a Charm, but soon the Charm will pass:
White Lillies lie neglected on the Plain,
While dusky Hyacinths for use remain.
My Passion is thy Scorn; nor wilt thou know
What Wealth I have, what Gifts I can bestow:
What Stores my Dairies and my Folds contain;
A thousand Lambs that wander on the Plain:
New Milk that all the Winter never fails,
And all the Summer overflows the Pails:
Amphion sung not sweeter to his Herd,
When summon’d Stones the Theban Turrets rear’d.
Nor am I so deform’d; for late I stood
Upon the Margin of the briny Flood:
The Winds were still, and if the Glass be True,
With Daphnis I may vie, tho’ judg’d by you.
O leave the noisie Town, O come and see
Our Country Cotts, and live content with me!
To wound the Flying Deer, and from their Cotes
With me to drive a-Field, the browzing Goats:
To pipe and sing, and in our Country Strain
To copy, or perhaps contend with Pan.
Pan taught to joyn with Wax unequal Reeds,
Pan loves the Shepherds, and their Flocks he feeds.
Nor scorn the Pipe; Amnytas, to be taught,
With all his Kisses should my Skill have bought.
Of seven smooth joints a mellow Pipe I have,
Which with his dying breath Damaetas gave:
And said, This, Corydon, I leave to thee;
For only thou deserv’st it after me.
His Eyes Amyntas durst not upward lift,
For much he grudg’d the Praise, but more the Gift.
Besides two Kids that in the Valley stray’d,
I found by chance and to my Fold convey’d.
They drein two bagging Udders every day;
And these shall be Companions of thy Play.
Both fleck’d with white, the true Arcadian Strain,
Which Thestilis had often beg’d in vain:
And she shall have them, if again she sues,
Since you the Giver and the Gift refuse.
Come to my longing Arms, my lovely care,[[Image:Snomanbyl.jpg|right|thumb|upright=1.5|''Snowboylove
Scruffylad
right. And take the Presents which the Nymphs prepare.
White Lillies in full Canisters they bring,
With all the Glories of the Purple Spring:
The Daughters of the Flood have search’d the Mead
For Violets pale, and cropt the Poppy’s Head:
For Short Narcissus and fair Daffodil,

====See? This image is astride two chapters====

Pancies to please the Sight, and Cassia sweet to smell:
And set soft Hyacinths with Iron blue,
To shade marsh Marigolds of shining Hue.
Some bound in Order, others loosely strow’d,
To dress thy Bow’r, and trim thy new Abode.
My self will search our planted Grounds at home,
For downy Peaches and the glossie Plum:
And thrash the Chesnuts in the Neighb’ring Grove,
Such as my Amarillis used to love.
The Laurel and the Myrtle sweets agree;
And both in Nosegays shall be bound for thee.
Ah, Corydon, ah poor unhappy Swain,
Alexis will thy homely Gifts disdain:
Nor, shoulds’t thou offer all thy little Store,
Will rich Iolas yield, but offer more.
What have I done, to name that wealthy Swain,
So powerful are his Presents, mine so mean!
The Boar amid my Crystal Streams I bring;
And Southern Winds to blast my flow’ry Spring.
Ah, cruel Creature, whom dost thou despise?
The Gods to live in Woods have left the Skies.
And Godlike Paris in th’ Idean Grove,
To Priam’s Wealth prefer’d Oenone’s Love.
In Cities which she built, let Pallas Reign;
Tow’rs are for Gods, but Forrests for the Swain.
The greedy Lyoness the Wolf pursues,
The Wolf the Kid, the wanton Kid the Bowze:
Alexis thou are chas’d by Corydon;
All follow sev’ral Games, and each his own.
See from afar the Fields no longer smoke,
The sweating Steers unharnass’d from the Yoke,
Bring, as in Triumph, back the crooked Plough;
The Shadows lengthen as the Sun goes Low.
Cool Breezes now the raging Heats remove;
Ah, cruel Heaven! that made no Cure for Love!
I wish for balmy Sleep, but wish in vain:
Love has no bounds in Pleasure, or in Pain.
What frenzy, Shepherd, has thy Soul possess’d,
Thy Vinyard lies half prun’d, and half undress’d.
Quench, Corydon, thy long unanswered fire:
Mind what the common wants of Life require.
On willow Twigs employ thy weaving care:
And find an easier Love, tho’ not so fair.

Young Corydon, th’unhappy Shepherd Swain
The fair Alexis lov’d, but lov’d in vain:
And underneath the Beechen Shade, alone,
Thus to the Woods and Mountains made his moan.
Is this, unkind Alexis, my reward,
And must I die unpitied, and unheard?
Now the green Lizard in the Grove is laid,
The Sheep enjoy the coolness of the Shade;
And Thestilis wild Thime and Garlike beats
For Harvest Hinds, o’erspent with Toyle and Heats:
While in the scorching Sun I trace in vain
Thy flying footsteps o’re the burning Plain.
The creaking Locusts with my Voice conspire,
They fry’d with Heat, and I with fierce Desire.
How much more easie was it to sustain
Proud Amarillis, and her haughty Reign,
The Scorns of Young Menalcus, once my care
Tho’ he were black, and thou art Heav’nly fair.
Trust not too much to that enchanting Face;
Beauty’s a Charm, but soon the Charm will pass:
White Lillies lie neglected on the Plain,
While dusky Hyacinths for use remain.
My Passion is thy Scorn; nor wilt thou know
What Wealth I have, what Gifts I can bestow:
What Stores my Dairies and my Folds contain;
And said, This, Corydon, I leave to thee;
For only thou deserv’st it after me.
His Eyes Amyntas durst not upward lift,
For much he grudg’d the Praise, but more the Gift.
Besides two Kids that in the Valley stray’d,
I found by chance and to my Fold convey’d.
They drein two bagging Udders every day;
And these shall be Companions of thy Play.
Both fleck’d with white, the true Arcadian Strain,
Which Thestilis had often beg’d in vain:
And she shall have them, if again she sues,
Since you the Giver and the Gift refuse.
And take the Presents which the Nymphs prepare.
White Lillies in full Canisters they bring,
With all the Glories of the Purple Spring:
The Daughters of the Flood have search’d the Mead
For Violets pale, and cropt the Poppy’s Head:
For Short Narcissus and fair Daffodil,

====See? This image is astride two chapters====

Pancies to please the Sight, and Cassia sweet to smell:
And set soft Hyacinths with Iron blue,
To shade marsh Marigolds of shining Hue.
Some bound in Order, others loosely strow’d,
To dress thy Bow’r, and trim thy new Abode.
My self will search our planted Grounds at home,
For downy Peaches and the glossie Plum:
And thrash the Chesnuts in the Neighb’ring Grove,
Such as my Amarillis used to love.
The Laurel and the Myrtle sweets agree;
The Boar amid my Crystal Streams I bring;
In Cities which she built, let Pallas Reign;
Tow’rs are for Gods, but Forrests for the Swain.
The greedy Lyoness the Wolf pursues,
The Wolf the Kid, the wanton Kid the Bowze:
Alexis thou are chas’d by Corydon;
All follow sev’ral Games, and each his own.
See from afar the Fields no longer smoke,
The sweating Steers unharnass’d from the Yoke,
Bring, as in Triumph, back the crooked Plough;
The Shadows lengthen as the Sun goes Low.
Cool Breezes now the raging Heats remove;
==Getting started==

===What is a wiki?===

A wiki is a web site where almost every page can be changed or added to by you. You can even create entirely new pages. All changes appear immediately, but old versions of the page are still available. A wiki's users constantly act as proofreaders and copy editors to expand and improve existing articles and clean up vandalism.

===How do I sign up?===

Just click the link at the top of any page which says [[Special:Userlogin|Create an account or log in ]] and enter the username you would like, a password, and optionally, your email address. Then click the "Create new account" button. The "by email" button can be used if you would like to receive a random password and verify your email address in one step. You can log in at this page in the future.

===What if I don't want to register?===

Everything on BoyWiki is available to you without the need for a BoyWiki account. However, if you do not have an account, you will not be able to make any changes.

Registering does have other benefits, such as giving you a personal user page and enabling others to send you emails without revealing your email address to them. But registration will never be necessary to read any content or to redistribute content under the [[BoyWiki:Copyrights|GNU Free Documentation License]].

===What if I don't know HTML?===

You don't need to know any HTML to contribute to BoyWiki and you don't have to have any Web authoring experience at all. Formatting on BoyWiki is created using a very simple technique called "wikitext." Making a link is as simple as wrapping double brackets (<nowiki>[[ and ]]</nowiki>) around a word. Making a bulleted list is as simple as putting an asterisk (*) before each item on its own line. You'll be able to figure out how to add formatting by seeing how existing articles are written. While BoyWiki allows approximately the same basic HTML tags as BoyChat does, we suggest everyone uses wikitext markup to write their articles.

===What if I don't understand wikitext?===

If you have something to say but are worried about using wikitext, don't use it. That's right, you should just type in what you have to say with no formatting. If it is important, then it will be valuable without links or other formatting. Others can come along and add formatting for you, but never let worrying about "how it looks" stop you from adding new and useful information to BoyWiki.

===What if I find information that is wrong?===

All wiki articles are written by human beings, and errors will find their way into articles. If you see something that you know is factually incorrect, simply edit the article and change the infactual information. If you find a typo, feel free to fix it. What makes BoyWiki so powerful is the ability for everyone to pitch in and help out.

===What if I find an article I disagree with?===

Everyone is different and not all articles deal with provable fact. There will be articles that are opinion-based. The only way for BoyWiki to be well-rounded is if people with differing opinions contribute while respecting each other's differences. If a BoyWiki article expresses an unbalanced opinion, you can help by rewriting a factual article more neutrally or by adding a section with a counterbalancing opinion. In some cases, you may wish to work together with other users on the article's talk page to figure out how to be fair to all viewpoints.

The important thing to remember is that BoyWiki has room to express many differing opinions, and you should strive to make sure each is fairly represented side-by-side, without trying to shout down or drown out others. If an idea has merit, then simply stating it clearly and respectfully allows others to decide how they feel on the issue.

===What if I find an article that has been vandalized?===

You may occasionally run into vandalism or inappropriate content before a Curator does. If this happens, you can help out by clicking the "History" tab on the page and finding the newest version of an article which has not been defaced. Just click the edit tab for that revision and save it over the vandalized article. You should add something like "Reverted vandalism by such-and-such user" in the edit summary.

By doing this, you will simultaneously make the article useful again for the next person and render the vandal powerless. While BoyWiki's article history makes it impossible for vandals to destroy content, our users have the power to repair vandalism immediately, which makes BoyWiki self-healing. BoyWiki depends on users like you!

==Exploring==

===BoyWiki organization===

BoyWiki articles are organized into different categories, with three different root categories. Most articles can be categorized as either factual and research-based [[:Category:Encyclopedia|encyclopedic articles]], [[:Category:Entertainment|entertainment-based]] articles with information about media such as TV and radio, or [[:Category:Life|life-based]] articles which deal with the boylove community, personal experiences, things to do in the real world, and silly things such as jokes. Sometimes an article deals with more than one area and is classified under more than one category at a time.

You can surf through the different categories starting from the [[:Category:BoyWiki|BoyWiki]] category, or you can view a list of [[Special:Categories|all categories]] on BoyWiki.

===Searching for articles===

If you know the name of an article, you can type it into the search field and click the '''Go''' button to be taken directly to it. But if you aren't looking for a specific article name, you can type search terms into the search field and click the '''Search''' button. A page will come up listing all articles with the words you entered. Please note that words under 3 letters long will not be included in your search.

===Finding related articles===

Any given article will have hyperlinks to other articles sprinkled throughout. But many articles also have a section called "See also" which lists other relevant articles that were not referred to in the main article text. Clicking on "What links here" in the toolbox to the left of each article gives a list of other articles which contain a link to it. In addition, every categorized article will have a link at the bottom of the page which leads to its category, and a list of all parent categories. These may be good ways to find other articles on a subject.

===Finding new articles and changes===

The [[Special:Recentchanges|Recent changes]] page lists all contributions to BoyWiki in the last 30 days. You can find a summary of when a change was made in GMT, by whom, and whether it was a minor change ('''m''') or if a new article ('''N''') was created. You can also quickly see the page history (hist) or the difference (diff) between the old version and the new version.

If you are interested in keeping track of a specific article, click the "watch" link on that article page to add it to your watchlist. Depending on your user preferences, you can elect to receive an email any time a page on your watchlist has been updated. Whenever your user talk page has been updated, you will see a message at the top of BoyWiki informing you that you have a new message. Visit your talk page to clear this notification.

===Finding other users===

A list of all users can be found on the [[Special:Listusers]] page. This displays an alphabetical list of users, and also notes which users have special duties on BoyWiki. Article histories also have a list of users, and you may find people who share common interests are editing the articles you enjoy. Going to a user page will allow you to send an email to that user if he has a confirmed email address with BoyWiki. Please note that this will reveal your own email address to that user! You can also send public notes via BoyWiki by editing a user's talk page.

==Editing==

===Creating a new article===

If you have something to add to BoyWiki that hasn't been covered before, it may be time to create a new article! The simplest way to create a new article is to find an article that has been linked to but does not yet exist. These show up as red links. Just click on the link and you'll be able to create the article. Of course, you can also view the list of [[Special:Wantedpages|most wanted pages]], determined by the articles that have the most links but have not yet been written.

If you would like to write an article which has not been linked to, do a search to see if there there is an article on the topic with a different name. If none exists, then see if you can edit an existing article to create a link to your new one. Just add double square brackets (<nowiki>[[ and ]]</nowiki>) around a word or phrase in an article and save it to create a link. Then you can click on the link to begin editing a new article.

But if there is no article that serves as a point to link from, simply type the new article name in the search box (spaces are okay in the name) and click the '''Go''' button. Then you will be able to follow the link in the resulting message and begin writing a new article.

===Picking a proper article name===

All articles on BoyWiki begin with a capital letter, so the first letter in a link can be capital or lowercase. Except for the first letter, article names are case-sensitive, which means that '''Case''' and '''CASE''' would refer to two separate articles. To make it easier to make links, articles with more than one word should be in lowercase except for proper nouns. So an article on computer security should be called '''Computer security''' and not '''Computer Security'''. If you would like to write an article with an ambiguous name, you could describe it in parentheses, so that '''Computer security (Linux)''' might be a different article from '''Computer security (Windows)'''. Just try to think ahead. Curators will rename articles when necessary.

===Editing an existing article===

Existing articles can be edited by clicking on the '''Edit''' tab on the top of each page. This brings up the wikitext of an article. Wikitext is a simple markup language that lets you worry about what you want to say instead of learning complicated HTML.

A good reason to edit an article is if you see a misspelling or typo on a page. You might even feel that an article needs more formatting, or more consistent formatting. You might see a word or phrase that is not linked to another article but should be, or that you feel would make a good article for somebody to write. Feel free to to make these improvements. If you only make minor changes that do not change the meaning of an article in a significant way, please check the "This is a minor edit" check box before you save.

In other cases, you might feel that an article is not well-organized or that there are misleading or false statements. Feel free to move text around or rewrite things to make the article easier to read. If you do this for more than one sentence, it probably does not qualify as a minor edit.

Some things to keep in mind while editing existing articles is that you can restrict your editing to single sections by clicking the [Edit] links by each section header. This way others can edit other parts of an article at the same time without edit conflicts, and you don't risk accidentally changing parts of an article you are not interested in. Please write a quick description of the changes you made in the summary field to help futures users looking at an article's history Lastly, in most cases, you should not remove a contrary point of view to replace it with your own. If you disagree with an point of view, you should create a new section and add your opinion so that the two viewpoints are represented side-by-side.

===Submitting media for articles===

Due to the potential for abuse, users are not allowed to directly upload images or other files to BoyWiki. Once you have read the [[BoyWiki:Content_guidelines#Image_guidelines|content guidelines for images]] and have determined that your image or other media is suitable, you may email it along with your BoyWiki username to [mailto:images@boywiki.org images@boywiki.org] where it will be reviewed by a Curator. Once it has been uploaded, you can incorporate it into articles.

If you would like to submit a sigpic for use on your user page, please send it along with your username to [mailto:images@boywiki.org images@boywiki.org]. Remember that unlike other submissions, you do not have to license your sigpic under the GNU FDL but it will remain your personal property. It will be viewable in the [[Special:Imagelist|list of files]] as well as the [[Special:Newimages|new image gallery]], and we will be happy to delete your sigpic upon request.

===Discussing an article with others===

Many articles inspire discussion that for one reason or another doesn't belong in the article itself. Maybe you would like to give opinions on how the article could be improved, or work together with others to make changes, or ask similar questions about how you might improve the article. No matter what you would like to talk about, you can use the article's talk page to discuss the topic at hand. Talk pages can be accessed by clicking the "discussion" tab at the top of any article and work the same as article pages. Feel free to seperate different discussions with headers by using the + tab next to the "Edit this page" tab to add a new discussion.

It is useful to indent your responses to others' comments by putting one or more colons (:) at the beginning of each of your paragraphs. It is also very polite to sign your comments by using the signature button in the editing toolbar or by manually putting <nowiki>--~~~~</nowiki> at the end of your comment. This will display a signature like this: --[[User:Hínandil|Hínandil]] 20:47, 26 August 2005 (EDT)

===Sending messages to other users===

If you would like to leave a public message for another user, you may do so on his user talk page. Just go to a user's user page (which is linked in his signature and in article histories) and click the "discussion" tab. There you can add a note for him.

When somebody has left you a message, you will see a notice on the top of every BoyWiki article that you have new messages. This notice remains until you check your own user talk page.

===Sending email to other users===

If you have registered and validated your email address with BoyWiki, you may send an email to others who have done the same. From a user's user page, "E-mail this user" will appear as an option in the toolbox on the left column. Follow this link and you will be able to enter a message that will be emailed to that user. You will not see the user's email address, but please remember that your email address will be sent with the email so he can respond to you.

===Creating your user page===

As a user of BoyWiki, you have your very own user page where you can publish whatever you like, so long as it conforms with [[BoyWiki:Content guidelines]] and [[BoyWiki:Abuse policy]]. This is an opportunity for you to tell a bit about yourself; publish personally written essays and stories; share movie, music, and game reviews; run polls; and keep notes and personal research for use in BoyWiki articles. Simply click on your name at the top of any BoyWiki article while you are logged in, and edit your page like any other wiki article.

Unlike main article pages, user pages can have subpages. For example, if you were user Hínandil, and you create a link to the page User:Hínandil/This_is_a_subpage, you could click that link and have a blank page to edit. You can use subpages to organize the different things you would like to publish through BoyWiki.

Please remember that like main articles, what you publish on your user page is also licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License. BoyWiki is not a blog or journal and is not meant to be used as such, but welcomes you to share your thoughts and ideas with the entire boylove community. What your write on your user page is free to be redistributed and edited by others as long as they give the same permission for their changes. Make sure you read and understand [[BoyWiki:Copyrights]] and do not publish things you would not like to see reposted or changed on other Web sites.
Bronhttps://www.boywiki.org/en/index.php?title=Help:Images&diff=1101Help:Images2012-10-23T18:47:37Z
Bron: 1.0

==Basics==

===Basic wikicode===

The basic wikicode is:

<nowiki>[[Image:filename.jpg]]</nowiki>

This would show the raw file

<nowiki>[[Image:filename.jpg|left|thumb|upright=1.5|''Comment on the image'']]</nowiki>

In this case, it is a thumbnail centered left. 1.5 determines its size.

===Media.boywiki===

In the previous example, filename.jpg must be a file hosted on [https://media.boywiki.org|media.boywiki]. It was dubbed the BoyWiki Media Repository and is a facility shared by the german, french and english versions of BoyWiki. To find out what images can I upload on BoyWiki? check out its [https://media.boywiki.org|main page]. To have images uploaded there, ask one of the [[Curator|curators]] or [info@boywiki.org|send us word] but don't send the images yet.
