On this date it was reported that they were negotiating with a Los Angeles motion picture studio to turn their story into a movie. In an interview with the newspaper, Alan Kilshaw, a 45-year-old lawyer, said that he had been discussing proposals with the unidentified studio even while he and his wife, Judith, were confronting a firestorm of international controversy over the adoption and a ruling by local authorities that it broke U.S. law. "I really want to see this movie made, " Kilshaw said. Sure he wants it made. He has to make back the $12,000 plus legal fees somehow. I guess he thinks treating a child as a commodity is OK so long as nothing sexual is involved.
