Arbitration Committee

The Arbitration Committee is a group of 12 Wikipedians, chosen by users in low-turnout elections, who adjudicate some disputes openly, and in other cases ban users pursuant to secret proceedings. It has been said "Arbcom cases are not decided by following algorithms or rules. Rather political decisions are made, which are then supported with what is available."
