An acceptable alternative to deleting a draft article is to move it to the userspace of the author or of another user who has expressed interest in improving the article to meet BoyWiki's standards. Users are encouraged to create such drafts in userspace to begin with, as repeatedly putting drafts in mainspace is considered disruptive. Sysops are encouraged to tag such drafts for deletion rather than deleting summarily so that users have an opportunity to look at them and see for themselves if there is any salvageable content before the drafts disappear from view.

Protection

What's the purpose of protecting the deletion policy? Preventing bad edits also prevents good edits. The page isn't one with legal implications, and it's not like there was an edit war going on. Lysander (talk) 22:09, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
