Bulgaria, officially the Republic of Bulgaria, is a country in southeastern Europe. It is bordered by Romania to the north, Serbia and Macedonia to the west, Greece and Turkey to the south, and the Black Sea to the east.
The age of consent in Bulgaria is 18. As of 2006, Britons interested in child sex were increasingly going to short-haul destinations such as Bulgaria, where children were more readily available because of poverty, weak laws and the presence of local people working as go-betweens to facilitate child sex.
