Menino Maluquinho 1, or also known as Menino Maluquinho - O Filme, is a 1995 Brazilian children's film directed by Helvécio Ratton and produced by Tarcísio Vidigal, based on the children's book of the same name by cartoonist Ziraldo. It stars Samuel Costa in the role of the Menino Maluquinho. A "sequel", Menino Maluquinho 2 - A Aventura, was released on July 10, 1998.


Plot

Maluquinho (Samuel Costa), a mischievous middle-class boy, loves to play and play tricks on his friends, but suffers when his parents broke up. But here comes his grandpa Passarinho (Luiz Carlos Arutin), who takes him for a fun vacation in the interior of Minas Gerais, where he lives hectic adventures with his friends and his farm cousin Tonico.
