"Netherlands" is a plural noun, as originally it was composed of "the low lands" (the "nether" lands), and, like the United States, the country name takes the article "the" before its name. I created a new category "the Netherlands" and think that other articles should have corrections made re: the correct category. Or else the category could be "Holland" and redirects made from "Netherlands" and "the Netherlands". User4 (talk) 09:58, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

You guys asked me to try to follow Wikipedia's category system. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Netherlands https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:United_States but I don't have a problem with it either way. --Etenne (talk) 10:19, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
