Historical boylove relationships in ancient Rome - There were many known pederastic relationships between adult men and adolescent boys in ancient Rome. In some of these cases both members became well-known historical figures, while in others, only one of the two may have.

Augustus (63 BC – AD 14) is reckoned to have been the first Roman Emperor from 27 BC, when the Roman Senate gave him the titles Augustus and Princeps Senatus.

Commodus Antoninus Augustus (AD 161-192), was sole Roman Emperor from 180 until his death, having been co-Emperor with his father since 177.
