I could easily write an extension to generate this index through a special page. There could be an option to filter it by page_is_redirect, page_len, etc. Alternatively, there should be a User:USER4Bot account set up with the bot flag, to update the index without appearing by default in RecentChanges. Let me know if you'd like any help developing some bot code. I usually use Chris G's botclasses, even though no one has been maintaining them lately, and the file upload function is broken if I recall correctly (not that it matters, since BoyWiki doesn't accept uploads from non-sysops anyway). Hmm... I still see a problem... If that listing could be exported, then edited, then displayed, if would be useful.
For example: A visitor knows that Adam (somebody) would be nice to read about. Now, was it Adam BEST, or Adam MEST, or Adam ????.
To have to go to each "letter" and search is kind of dumb. "Ah," you say, "He can just search for "Adam" on the page!". Well, what if he's wrong about the name? The real name he wants is Ardam. He won't find it.
If you look at the page I have been creating, all the names are listed twice - once, by first name, and once by last name. An article titled, "The Red Hen" would be under "The" as well as under "Red Hen". This is a (more) professional way to index things. The truth is, the "The" should not be listed at all -- the only entry should be "Red Hen, The". But trying to get the wiki software to be so intelligent (and given the other "exceptions to the rule") the only real solution is manually editing the file. The problem as this point is that there are so many damned "redirects" which show up as "article titles", there are so many (so-called) "articles" which are irrelevant (years, months, etc.) and so many articles were incorrectly named to begin with. All these things I am fixing in my "index".
I'll stop now... my fingers hurt from typing so much...

First - there is an error message age the top of my current screen:

Creating User talk:USER4/DRAFT/Main Index of all BoyWiki pages (must be manually updated when necessary)

User account "USER4" is not registered. Please check if you want to create/edit this page.

Seems a problem with the case of the title of this page.

Second - how about if this is manually edited, and then given a link on the main page. I'm sure it would be appreciated by visitors to have an index of all BW pages! User4 (talk) 17:59, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

OK - thanks Etenne, for fixing the error.
Now -- A question: Who in their right mind could deny that this page would be very useful for visitors to BoyWiki?!?!?
Who every said I was in my right mind? I will go punch them in the nose! Yes, you are doing a good job on this page and when you are finished (ready), I am sure I will be able to find a place to put it:) --Etenne (talk) 21:06, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

Actually, I have an idea of how to use it already by making it a template.--Etenne (talk) 21:16, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

BTW - here is a list of (mostly names) that are alphabetized wrong, or should have a cross-reference under a different letter:

For example, "Therapy for pedophilia/pedophiles" should have TWO entries - one under "T" (as it is now) and the other under "P" as in:

 • "Pedophiles, therapy for"

... and then put the original link, like this: Pedophiles, therapy for

User4 (talk) 00:12, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

For names, something similar should be done:

Under the "P" classification:
 • Percy, William A.
to get Percy, William A.
and the original entry under "W" can stay there. (Redundancy is good -- you never know exactly what will be most "logical" thing to the user, so give him several options of finding materials.) User4 (talk) 02:03, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Fixed some of the names -- still to do others User4 (talk) 03:49, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

Fixed the rest. Still to do:

 • Incorporate these into the main list
 • Add new entries
 • TRY TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO HAVE THE DISPLAY NOT VERTICAL, BUT INSTEAD, HORIZONTAL (if possible) User4 (talk) 04:22, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

Done.

 • I MAYBE SCREWED UP ON THE FOLLOWING - must go back and check them
 • A. PercyçWilliam**çWilliam A. Percy

Automation

I could easily write an extension to generate this index through a special page. There could be an option to filter it by page_is_redirect, page_len, etc. Alternatively, there should be a User:USER4Bot account set up with the bot flag, to update the index without appearing by default in RecentChanges. Let me know if you'd like any help developing some bot code. I usually use Chris G's botclasses, even though no one has been maintaining them lately, and the file upload function is broken if I recall correctly (not that it matters, since BoyWiki doesn't accept uploads from non-sysops anyway). @Etenne: Regarding manually adding newer articles to our BoyWiki index

Most of the newer articles added recently to BoyWiki by one editor are extremely prejudicial to BoyLovers and the BoyLove "cause".

I hesitate to add them to our new index, as they seem so inappropriate to inclusion on BoyWiki. In fact, I suspect that many of them may even eventually be deleted.

You could test the waters by doing a few deletion nominations and seeing how they go, before you put in the work of changing the index. In the meantime, you don't really need anyone's permission to edit a page in your own userspace as you see fit. Lysander (talk) 16:09, 28 March 2015 (UTC)

You know there is another way of doing this which will update automatically

I'd have to take some time to look into it to see how it's done --Etenne (talk) 16:42, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
