Cette expertise a été commentée (notamment par Michel Foucault) à une époque où les éléments biographiques sur François Roch Ferré faisaient encore défaut.<br /> <br /> Biographie<br /> <br /> François Roch Ferré est né à Miermaigne (Eure-et-Loir) le 16 août 1809. Il était le fils d’un tourneur sur bois, Marie Nicolas Ferré, et de Louise Anne Catherine Bléreau. Le père (âgé de 44 ans à la naissance de François Roch) comme la mère (alors âgée de 39 ans), étaient tous deux veufs d’un premier mariage. Leur union fut célébrée à Miermaigne le 5 juin 1807.<br /> Après la naissance de François Roch, le couple a eu un autre garçon, né dans le même village de Miermaigne, le 23 août 1812 : Barthélémy Timothée Ferré.<br /> La famille semble s’être déplacée plus au nord, dans le village de Thiron-Gardais, puisque c’est là que le lendemain de Noël, le 26 décembre 1814, le père décèda à l’âge de 49 ans.
