Théoricien de la musique. Il étudia avec  l&amp;#039;organiste Lodovico da Milano et peut-être avec Nicolaus Burtius. Il a probablement pris les ordres mineurs avant 1528, quand il devint &amp;lt;i&amp;gt;maestro di capella&amp;lt;/i&amp;gt; de la cathédrale de Brescia. C&amp;#039;est là qu&amp;#039;il publia ses &amp;lt;i&amp;gt;Scintille di musica&amp;lt;/i&amp;gt; et &amp;lt;i&amp;gt;Rimario&amp;lt;/i&amp;gt;.Un autre traité, &amp;lt;i&amp;gt;Musica terentiana&amp;lt;/i&amp;gt;, n&amp;#039;a pas survécu. Il devint maître de chapelle à Vérone d&amp;#039;environ 1536 à 1538, année où il entra dans un monastère Augustinien près de Bergame sans doute suite à une affaire avec un enfant de choeur. Cette traduction est-elle une preuve supplémentaire de l&amp;#039;inconfort des traducteurs et commentateurs dès qu&amp;#039;il s&amp;#039;agit de sensibilité garçonnière ?&lt;br /&gt;
