Description: Mirror cover with winged Eros. Bronze. Greek, Early Hellenistic Period, about 300 B.C. Boston, Museum of Fine Arts, 98.671a.
The cover has separated from its mirror (98.671b). On the exterior, in relief, a winged Eros, seated to the left, rides a dolphin to the right, over waves. Eros holds a dove in his right hand, and there is a cloak draped over his right arm. Green patina, with cleaned areas and areas of encrustation.
