Suicide, the taking of one's own life, is sometimes a consequence of persecution for being attracted to minors or for acting on such attractions.

Examples

  • Jesse Ryan Loskarn was found dead in his basement on 23 January 2014 after being arrested on 11 December 2013 for possessing child pornography. His mother posted his suicide note online.[1][2]
  • Martin Goldberg, Deputy Head of Thorpe Hall School, in Essex, England, who killed himself on September 9 or 10, 2014, after he was visited by police investigating "indecent images" (naked teenage boys).[3]
