Karl Andersson appears to be an (unofficial) [[Virtuous Pedophile]] (actually, more of a "Virtuous Pederast). He speaks of the beauty of adolescent boys' bodies, but claims to never have had sex with an adolescent, and that he never would. He denies being a "BoyLover" himself, and is critical of those who assume that he is one. He placed a link to [[ECPAT]] on the [[Destroyer magazine]] website "as a joke" he says. This immediately caused a furor among BoyLovers who feared (apparently wrongly, but who is to know?) that his magazine was being used as a "sting" by LEO, and was a way to harvest postal addresses and credit-card numbers of BoyLovers. Apparently, the author was originally unaware of how LEO twist the laws about [[child pornography]] in the [[axis of evil]] countries in order to arrest BoyLovers. He makes light of the concerns of BoyLovers that they may have been exposing themselves to arrest, but then grudgingly admits that those concerned BoyLovers may have been correct about the dangers. Gay Man's Worst Friend - the Story of Destroyer Magazine by Karl Andersson is a book exposing the hypocrisy of the "gay liberation movement" and describing the Swedish reaction to his magazine Destroyer. He demonstrates how "political correctness" can be carried too far, and how certain feminist groups have made rational discussions about BoyLove and pederasty impossible in today's world.

- The first issue of Destroyer magazine dropped like a bomb in May 2006. For the first time since the 1970s, a gay magazine dared to openly celebrate the beauty of the teenage boy, in words and pictures.
- Reactions were fierce. The Swedish LGBT establishment cried out against the magazine, claiming it gave gay people a bad name. Neo-Nazis were just as upset, and the Ombudsman for Children demanded a change in the law to make the magazine illegal. A police investigation was instigated and Destroyer's editor Karl Andersson was summoned to an interrogation.

- I believe I read about Destroyer in a gay American publication. Then I started looking it up online, and actually bought one of the issues. And then I got the book. It raises a lot of issues on sexual boundaries. I think its a great book for anyone interested in gender studies or human sexuality related to sociology. I think Karl Andersson is pretty cool. He is obviously very smart and really ballsy!

- This is a wonderful behind the scenes view of a very controversial all male erotic magazine called Destroyer. The text is wonderful, but there are no photos.
And then, of course, the following review (but you have to ask yourself: why did he give the book 2 stars?:

- It is nothing more than 128 pages of a man justifying the publication of his controversial magazine.
- Karl Andersson danced a fine line by combining legal gay porn and erotica with legal images and articles focused on males under the age of 18 years.
- I felt this book was written by Karl Andersson for Karl Andersson.
- I feel the book was published to line the pockets of Karl Andersson.
