Voluntarily seeking psychiatric treatment for pedophilic impulses

Suppose someone who has never been through the criminal justice system wants to voluntarily seek psychiatric treatment for pedophilic impulses. Perhaps he wants to fit into society better by admitting his fantasies to a professional and going through a program directed at helping him control or suppress his desires.
