Heather Ingram

From BoyWiki

Heather Ingram is a Canadian woman who, as a 29-year-old Chatelech Secondary School teacher of mathematics, science, and business,[1] attracted national media attention for having a sexual relationship, and a son, with a 17-year-old student, Dustin Dickeson. Canadian law sets the age of sexual consent at 14 but makes it a crime for a person in a position of authority, such as a teacher, to have sexual relations with a charge who is under 18. Ingram was sentenced to 10 months of house arrest for sexual exploitation.[2]

Dickeson claimed that he initiated the relationship,[3] describing his pursuit and seduction of her as an ultimate challenge.[4] Ingram claimed, "He would come to my classroom and lean in the doorway and blow me kisses or whistle at me in the hallway. Or just brush my shoulder as he was walking by"[5] and over time "It intensified."[6] His mother stated to the court, "I welcome Heather into the family as my adult son's choice of partner."[7] Ingram published a memoir, Risking It All: My Student, My Lover, My Story. Dickeson released a CD with gansta rap songs such as Teacher Scandal and RCMP.[3][4] The couple eventually broke up and Dickeson found another girlfriend.[5] According to Ingram, the age difference proved to be too much.[8] Ingram was stripped of her teaching certificate.[9]
