Liberalism

From BoyWiki

Liberalism (which comes from the Latin word libertas, meaning freedom) is a political ideology characterized by individual freedom, a free market economy, small government, freedom of speech and anti-authoritarianism. There are different kinds of liberalisms: The two best known are Classical Liberalism (which emerged from the Enlightenment and was very revolutionary for its time) and neoliberalism (which aims to have as much privatization and market forces in the economy as possible).

In 2022, liberalism is the most popular ideology in politics, despite how people think about it. Also, most modern democracies are liberal democracies (meaning that people's representatives run the country). The most famous liberal party is the Democratic Party of the United States[1].

Criticism

Criticism from other ideologies

Critiques of economic liberalism coincide to a great extent with criticism of capitalism. Broader criticism comes from the left (Marxism, social anarchism, etc.) as well as from conservative and/or nationalist quarters, saying that liberalism is based too much on a certain atomism: the idea that a society consists only of individuals and that structural and identity-determining factors (class, nation, religion, tradition) do not play a role. Related to this is the criticism that excessive competition between individuals can lead to a system of 'law of the fittest,' or as Thomas Hobbes (sometimes regarded as proto-liberal) called it, the war of all against all.

The criticism of the libertarians goes in a completely different direction, who accuse the liberals of not going far enough in the search for individual freedom, and who therefore sometimes regard themselves as the 'true' heirs of the classical liberals. The anarcho-capitalists, for example, believe that even law can be traded as a product on the market, so that the classical liberal night-watchman state is still a restriction on entrepreneurial freedom.

Criticism from pedophile haters

Pedophile haters such as the Marxist Jason Unruhe criticize liberalism mainly for its "identity politics". For example, he or his followers argue that people who are for identity politics are inherently "liberal" (they ignore the fact that liberals like Francis Fukuyama are strongly against identity politics, of course). Jason Unruhe also likes to pretend that proponents of pedo acceptance are inherent to identity politics and thus "liberal" (If someone is fighting for the acceptance of a stigmatized group, Jason must call them liberal). Also, according to Jason, identity politics supporters and thus liberals have a racist view of racism[2].

Hypocrisie

While Marxist pedophile haters like to attack liberalism as if they favor the acceptance of pedophiles or other stigmatized groups, at the same time they say that liberalism fails to give more equal opportunities to stigmatized groups such as black people and women (Barack Obama's presidency as example). If liberalism is the only way out for pedo acceptance and it doesn't work, what else should pedophiles have? And why is Marxism for full women and race acceptance, but not even for pedophiles or the disabled?
