The hyacinth is a flower that has long been associated with boylove originating in the Mycenaean era (1600 - 1100 BC). The story of Apollo and his young lover Hyacinth was well know in Ancient Greek society and may have provided inspiration for countless generations of boylovers in antiquity. The hyacinth flower is an ancient symbol and the official flower of boylove.
