D.A.R.Y.L. (film)

Year Released: 1985
MPAA Rating (USA): PG
Director: Simon Wincer
Starring: Barret Oliver

D.A.R.Y.L. is a 1985 American film about eleven-year-old Daryl, played by Barret Oliver, who is found alone and has no memory of where he came from. He is put in a foster home, and soon demonstrates extraordinary skills in most of the things he does. He grows close to his foster family and his neighbour friend, but when someone claiming to be his parents takes him away, he soon learns about his background as a military experiment. The film touches on subjects such as friendship and loyalty, and on the sometimes irrational expectations parents have of their children.
