Homophile

... is so a word. :-) Check out Wikipedia's article. It has historical significance in the gay rights movement, but the term is very rarely seen today. I guess it went away around the time when homosexuality was removed from APA's list of "people we label insane because we don't understand". I wikilinked it in case somebody would like to write about the homophile movement. Note, however, that at least in Scandinavian languages, we almost only use the -phile words (heterophile, homophile, pedophile, biphile, ...). We use -sexual variants when we want to emphasize the sexual components of the orientation, or the sexual acts themselves. A much saner approach, but languages are strange things :-) Clayboy 15:20, 21 September 2005 (EDT)

I stand corrected. :) --Rookiee 23:55, 21 September 2005 (EDT)
