From BoyWiki

Welcome to BoyWiki! We hope you will contribute much and well. You will probably want to read the help pages. Again, welcome and have fun! Etenne 02:08, 9 October 2016 (UTC)

Dandelion would you like to be the person to work on uploading images? I just can't seem to get to it. If so, I will explain what you need to do. --Etenne 13:30, 29 August 2017 (UTC)

I would be glad to help. However, if other users are going to contact me, I'll need a BoyWiki email address, as I would prefer not to use a personal account. Dandelion (talk) 19:07, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
I have changed you status so you can upload images. Free Spirits email is a bit wonky right now and I prefer to use the internal system for requesting image uploads. BoyWiki:Requests for file uploads--Etenne 14:12, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
Thank you very much. Dandelion (talk) 20:00, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
Quick note: When you upload an image, please try to indicate how the picture is licensed or if it is in the public domain ( something that indicates that it is free to use). You should also try to indicate the author if known, so they are credited for their work. --Etenne 20:18, 1 September 2017 (UTC)
Understood. Thanks for the advice. Dandelion (talk) 00:00, 2 September 2017 (UTC)

What does that mean? Thanks. Wanker (talk) 02:49, 4 February 2019 (UTC)

I think it's Boylove Sourcebook (see FalseAlias (talk) 03:39, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
Indeed. The acronym was added to the titles of the pages in that category in order to distinguish them from regular wiki articles, since their format and type of content are different. Dandelion (talk) 21:52, 4 February 2019 (UTC)

Request for image upload

Hi Dandelion, I wrote a message to Etenne a couple of days ago but I'm not sure if he still visits here, so I thought to ask you, since you have permission to upload images. I'd like to add a picture of this podcast's logo to this article: [MAPs irl].

Hikari-again (talk) 04:37, 1 August 2019 (UTC)

Hello, Hikari. Is there a URL for the image? Dandelion (talk) 19:27, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
Dandelion, not sure if this link will work but if not I can email it to you. Hikari-again (talk) 06:06, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
I checked the Twitter account for the podcast. Is this picture OK? Dandelion (talk) 22:51, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
Yup, that works. Hikari-again (talk) 05:56, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
Done. Sorry for the delay. Dandelion (talk) 00:54, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
Thank you, no problem! Hikari-again (talk) 23:16, 13 August 2019 (UTC)

Hey Dandelion, do we have any more info about the anglosphere, the non-anglosphere, and the differences between them that are relevant to boylove and boylovers, and the reasons why they are the way they are, with regard to those topics? Currently there's not a lot of info in those articles, but it seems like I've read more about it elsewhere, I just can't remember where. Thanks, Lysander (talk) 20:54, 21 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi, Lysander. Sorry for the late reply, I had a problem with my computer. I recommend that you seek advice from BoyChat users who may be acquainted with the relevant literature. Edmund, Kit, Filip30, Sick Rose, Shy Guy and Pharmakon are some names that come to mind. Hopefully they can provide you with the titles of articles and books, if not with links or quotations. Dandelion (talk) 06:18, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm banned from BoyChat so I guess that won't be happening. Seems someone did write an article awhile ago on this topic, though. Oh well. Lysander (talk) 12:03, 21 March 2020 (UTC)

Much appreciate the texts and links on Islamic boys. Wanker (talk) 23:48, 19 April 2020 (UTC)

Hello, Wanker. I'm glad that you found those posts interesting. The credit for digging up the recent couple of texts (as well as several others that I repost here), goes to Edmund and his website Greek Love Through the Ages, an excellent source of information on the history of pederasty. Have a nice day. Dandelion (talk) 06:42, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

could you help me understand how i should use this wiki and discuss a project with me?

it seems like you're the only active user. hopefully i can change that and you'll be only half of the active users :p

if you're willing to, add me on discord (halos#7621) or wickr (cliscute).

the project is copying the research pages from (formerly so that i can expand on them here, as newgon is just an archive now.

Nice to meet you, Halos, and welcome to BoyWiki. Sorry for not replying sooner, but I'm currently taking a little break from editing (at least until I find new content to post). In order to get acquainted with the site and its format, I recommend that you take a look at the articles in, particularly
Etenne comes here sporadically to create accounts for new users and to delete pages, but contacting him through BoyWiki or email is difficult, so you probably won't interact much with him. However, there is more frequent activity from other posters, such as FalseAlias, who may provide you with help or advice.
Your project seems like a good addition. Personally, when I edit or create pages that are different in content from normal "wiki-style" articles, such as essays and reviews, I make new, distinct categories, with names such as "Boylove Essays" or "Boylove Reviews", and add the names of those categories between parentheses at the beginning of the titles of the pages, like in the articles here In this case, perhaps you could create the category of "Boylove Research Compilations" or something similar, and keep the titles of the original pages from Newgon.
Please, let me know what you think of the idea. Best wishes. Dandelion (talk) 12:17, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
i think that's a great idea uwu. i'll do that. thanks for the advice - halos

I take it the stuff in the delete folder is stuff you want deleted? Just making sure. Etenne 01:47, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi, Etenne. Yes, I would appreciate it if you could delete them. Sorry for the trouble. Dandelion (talk) 08:02, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

Boylove Documentary Sourcebook

I added some links to this to the category header and to the main page under Content listings and gave you a neat little graphic that you can use for identifying your pages if you want. Can you tell me more about what you goal is and how to describe what you are working on? Maybe in the future you could create a Portal for this category? Etenne 20:43, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Hello, Etenne. I'm very flattered by the changes. The graphic is lovely, and I feel that the picture of the medieval scribe, a figure associated with the preservation and spread of knowledge, represents quite well the purpose intended for the category: to provide visitors of BoyWiki with easy access to the relevant portions of the literature available in English, in a way as substantial, concise and objective as possible.
My hope is that through the excerpts in the sourcebook, boylovers, especially those who have just realized their attraction and are in need of guidance (since contemporary society and media, in their far-reaching and demoralizing hostility, scarcely allow the presence of even neutral boylove portrayals, not to mention positive role models), get at least a "snapshot", a preliminary sense of the history of boylove across the world, of its place in the spectrum of human sexuality, and of boylovers' social, cultural and artistic contributions. Edmund has undertaken a similar project on a much bigger scale with his website Greek Love Through the Ages, which is a main source of inspiration for the category.
These pages are my grain of sand in BoyWiki, a token of gratitude to it, as one of the first websites that I found when first researching the topic of boylove, and hopefully it will also help to increase the number of its readers and editors among the new generation. Dandelion (talk) 04:17, 27 July 2021 (UTC)

Upgraded right

I changed your user rights today so now you should have the ability to remove your unwanted redirects etc... let me know if it works.Etenne 12:50, 27 July 2021 (UTC)

Thank you very much, Etenne. I really appreciate your trust in me.
I'm well aware of the hassle entailed in dealing with all the traces left by my bouts of OCD, so this new upgrade makes things convenient for both of us. Hopefully it will lighten some of your workload as an administrator.
I've yet to find the delete button, though. In what part of the page should it appear? Dandelion (talk) 09:20, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
Under page tools on the sidebar it should say:
   Page tools

Etenne 13:15, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi, Etenne. The "delete" option doesn't show to me. The sidebar just has the "move" option. Dandelion (talk) 21:17, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

Now you should for sure. Etenne 21:27, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

Yes, I can already see it. Thank you. Dandelion (talk) 21:54, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

I don´t know who I should address to, should I email Etenne?

I proposed two pages for deletion:

Information from those pages has been copied and posted to

I don´t know how to propose this or to who, please let me know if you know, I normally left a message on Etenne´s userpage but this has now been deleted. Thank you for your help and best wishes. --Eskimo (talk) 03:10, 10 April 2022 (UTC)

My apologies for the delayed response, Eskimo. I've just logged in a moment ago.
Regarding your question, it's my opinion that two or more pages can share some of the same content, as long as they aren't exact replicas. That is, if there are enough differences between them, and if they complement each other instead of becoming redundant, there's no need for deletions. But, then again, that's just my opinion.
I recommend that you try emailing Etenne, just in case. His most recent account is
