Marius Borg Høiby

Marius Borg Høiby (13 January 1997-) is the eldest son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway and advertisement salesman Morten Borg. He has a younger half-sister, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, and a younger half-brother, Prince Sverre Magnus. Marius is not heir to the Norwegian throne, unlike his younger siblings.

At the age of four, Marius found himself in the middle of a spectacle when his mother married His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon Magnus of Norway on 25 August 2001. Never before had Norwegian royalty married a single parent, and Mette-Marit's background was more colorful than most. In addition to stories of her wild past, Mette-Marit's boisterous father, Sven Olav Bjarte Høiby, ensured Marius's family continued notoriety until his death on 21 March 2007. Marius is understandably close to the royal family, and considers the King and Queen his "extra grandparents".

Marius lives with his family at royal Skaugum farm in Asker near Oslo. He attends nearby Jansløkka primary school.
