Clothing optional sign typical for designating a nude beach

The terms naturism, nudism and social nudity are generally defined as the practice of going nude, especially in a mixed social setting. The terms naturism and nudism generally also mean that the activities are done in non-sexualized, family-friendly contexts. Freikörperkultur (FKK) or Free Body Culture is the name for another variant of the general movement in Germany.

Naturism is a lifestyle in harmony with nature, expressed through personal and social nudity, and characterised by self-respect of people with different opinions and of the environment.[1]

Naturism seems to be appealing for some boylovers. Hajo Ortil a teacher and boylover was a proponent of FKK. There are several naturist magazines featuring almost exclusively young boys and girls (Jung und Frei, Jeunes et Naturels).

Nudism

A movement, started in nineteenth-century Germany, that believes it is healthier and more natural not to wear any clothes. There are "nudist clubs", usually outdoors, where people can be nude without worrying about the law. (In most but not all places, public nudity is illegal.) There are also a limited number of beaches designated "clothing optional" in Europe and the United States.

Parson's Pleasure

Parson's Pleasure in the University Parks at Oxford, England was traditionally frequented by dons of the University and was a secluded area for male-only nude bathing on the River Cherwell. Grant Richards, in his 'Memories of a Misspent Youth' (1932), recalls 'Frederick William Rolfe (Baron Corvo)' at Parson's Pleasure in Oxford - where scholars could bathe naked - "surveying the yellow flesh tints of youth with unbecoming satisfaction". The facility closed in 1991 and the area now forms part of the Parks.
