Relevance is the concept of one topic being connected to another topic in a way that makes it useful to consider the first topic when considering the second. The entries made on BoyWiki must be relevant to boylove or boys and meet the criteria for relevance or face deletion.

BoyWiki is not an encyclopedia in the same way as Wikipedia. It is not a repository of all information. BoyWiki is the internet museum/archive of boylove history, culture, and heritage. The English language BoyWiki is divided into three distinct sections:

  1. Encyclopedia articles are factual articles written with the goal of preserving knowledge and elucidating ideas pertaining to boylove. In these categories you will find information about history, legal cases, the history of the online boylove community, and definitions of some of the terms that boylovers and boys use today.
  2. Entertainment articles are articles written about the arts. In these categories, you will find information covering the entire range of art and media.
  3. Life articles focus on the day to day life and community of boys and boylovers. In these categories, you will find information covering a wide array of things that touch on everyday life, including news, jokes, food, and personal stories.

Criteria for relevance

  • Historical - of or concerning boylove history; concerning past events.
  • Cultural - of or relating to the ideas, customs, life style, and social behavior of the boylove community.
  • Artistic - of, relating to, or characteristic of boylove art or artistry.
  • Informational - of, relating to, news, information, stories, or trivia related to boys and boylove.
  • Scientific - based on or characterized by the methods and principles of science related to boylove.
  • Law - based on the system of rules that are enforced through social institutions to govern behavior relating to boylove. (See:Legal disclaimer)
  • Boys - of or concerning boys.

Relevance page tag

{{Relevance}} can be used with the following parameter:

  • 1: the reason for adding this page tag needs to be added to the discussion page. This is useful for editors in case the reason for disputing the relevance is not immediately obvious. See Relevance policy.

This template will categorizes articles into Category:Disputed relevance.
