He has stated that he has seen the two Deadpool films more then a hundred times and didn't let a pesky little thing like a R rating stop him from enjoying his favorite hero. Walker got his "big break" into acting when he beat out 376 other kids for the role of Adam opposite Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project. It was his first professional acting job and it was very unusual for him to be cast in a leading role with no past professional acting experience. Walker sent in his audition tape on August 4, 2020 and later did a read-through with Reynolds, at which point both Reynolds and the casting director Carmen Cuba said, that's our boy.
The Adam Project, Walker Scobell's first film began filming in November 2020 and wrapped in March 2022 and is a science fiction adventure film. The film received mixed reviews from the critics, but what do they know? The Adam Project is Netflix's fourth most-watched English-language film of all time. In the first 28 days after its release, the film has gathered 233,150,000 views. Walker Scobell gave a stellar performance, both heart-warming and hilarious.
Secret Headquarters was released on Paramount+ on August 12, 2022. It is a superhero film staring Owen Wilson, Walker Scobell, Jesse Williams, Keith L. In June 2022, Walker Scobell was cast to play the leading role of Charlie Kincaid the son of Jack Kincaid (Owen Wilson)/The Guard, a superhero crime fighter. "While hanging out after school, Charlie and his friends discover the headquarters of the world’s most powerful superhero hidden beneath his home. When villains attack, they must team up to defend the headquarters and save the world." Other then Walker Scobell's exceptional performance, there is nothing remarkable about this film. It is not a horrible film or a great film. It is exactly what you would expect from beginning to end.
In April 2022, it was announced that Walker Scobell was to star in the upcoming Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus." For an unknown actor to come out of nowhere and in the span of less the a year to have this type of success is almost unheard of in Hollywood, but that is exactly what Walker Scobell has done. His star is certainly on the rise and we can hope that it illuminates us for years to come.
